College of Lake County Illinois – Sones De Mexico Ensemble
Come on out to listen to the sounds of Mexico at James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts at the College of Lake County.
Enjoy a familiar collection of over twenty-five folk string, percussion and wind instruments, bright four-part vocal arrangements and acrobatic dance demonstrations. Their diverse music is true to its roots and old masters, yet current and fresh at the same time.
Pre-lecture show at 6:45-7:15pm.

The Grayslake Heritage Center will be dedicated today August 15th at 2pm. After going through an expansion and renovation the Heritage Center will now officially open. The building will be open to the public until 5pm today.

The Grayslake Summer Days 2010 is coming.
Mark your calendar and come out to enjoy the music, games, and fun. 
August 20, 2010 – August 21, 2010
Municipal Parking Lot – Center & Seymour Avenue in downtown Grayslake
Friday – 5pm- Midnight
Saturday – 11am – midnight
Bike and Pet Parade - 12 noon Saturday (line-up on Slusser Street begins at 10 am)
Summer Days Parade – “Grayslake’s Got Talent” kickoffs at 7PM Saturday evening. This is a new time so make sure you make the correction in your calendars.
Family music festival with activities for the entire family. Music, carnival games, food vendors, business booth area
Cost: FREE!
The Exchange Club of Grayslake will be running the Beer tent. This group of volunteers works to raise money for the prevention of child abuse and many other organizations through out the Lake County and Chicago area. I will be working for this cause on Saturday afternoon so I hope to see you there!
