Attend a Press Conference with President Abraham Lincoln, See Generals Thomas, Custer, and Grant; Senator Douglas, Tour the Lehmann Mansion and see Civil War clothing on display. Watch Cavalry Drills and Tactics, see a Daily Battle between the Union and Confederate troops and Visit Union and Confederate Campsites and medical tents. Shop with the sutlers and food vendors, Hear Civil War Music and Storyteller and Participate in Childrens’ Games.

The Fall Country Festival will feature a craft show, activities, a farmers market, and entertainment in Round Lake!
Crafters will come from Northern Illinois and Wisconsin to sell items. There will also be pony rides, hayrides, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, scarecrow maze, music and games for the kids.

The Grayslake Heritage Center will be dedicated today August 15th at 2pm. After going through an expansion and renovation the Heritage Center will now officially open. The building will be open to the public until 5pm today.

The Grayslake Summer Days 2010 is coming.

The Exchange Club of Grayslake will be running the Beer tent. This group of volunteers works to raise money for the prevention of child abuse and many other organizations through out the Lake County and Chicago area. I will be working for this cause on Saturday afternoon so I hope to see you there!
